Dear Mr. C,
We're on the brink of the All-Star game - which means the season is nearing an end... (realistically speaking). Let's review this "exciting" year you promised with your "Dear Mandy" letter...
1) 14-37 0.275
2) finally snapping 13-game losing streak
3) Opponent 104.98 PPG (15th in offense...)
4) 23rd in defense
5) 31 games left... even if we win them all (HA HA) we'd still only be at 44-37, which I guess... could... technically put us in 6th place... if everyone else manages to only win 1/2 of their games left... which still means we're possibly playing Miami - and that would be a 4-0 series to be honest...and even if it's Chicago - maybe 5-1?
So... in conclusion - what exactly was I supposed to be excited about?
You failed - beyond failed - Mr. C - and not that I can do your job better, but then again, I don't think I can do it any worse either. If you were taking this year as the potential "build" by freeing up $ for an amazing sign year in 2012 - I would commend you.... but: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/toronto.htm This tells me enough.
If you want Toronto to be taken as less of a joke, try spending some money for some big players (no offense current team, there are so many of you that I LOVE....) and less big players that are past their prime and keeping our bench warm. I am a Raptors fanatic, but this year, you've given me nothing to be a fanatic about - in fact, now that it really matters to you, but I usually end up going to 5-6 games a year. This year, didn't consider buying a single set of tickets. I went to more Leafs games than I did Raptors and I really don't care for the Leafs much.

Things that SEVERELY Rile Me
http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/749478--traffic-cop-holds-up-speeding-surgeon?bn=1
Here is a CARDIOLOGIST, got paged, rushing to the hospital to save someone's life and the stupid cop decides it is to his advantage to hold him (probably for at least 15 minutes) to write him a ticket...
What is wrong with this picture????
And the worst part is - the division "defends" his decision by saying the cop probably stopped the doctor from getting into an accident... RIGHT... because that's what the cop was REALLY thinking.
I wonder - if it was off-duty cop that was pulled over, what would the end story be. I think they would have shared some lame joke about donut runs and would have been on their way.
Just because you are a cop, doesn't give you the right to abuse your privileges - if I could only count the number of cops I've seen turn on their sirens just to get through the intersection and then leisurely drive off without a care in the world. Why do we need cops if none of them are doing their jobs anyway?????

As if my life isn't f***ed up enough.
Here's tonight's addition to make sure that it is.
1L bottle of water somehow opens spills all over my bed only to have me wondering why I felt pins and needles all over my leg just as it soaked through all my blankets and my mattress. (Yes I am well aware that this previous sentence was a run on, error filled sentence - I don't effing care.)
So tonight, I am sleeping on the floor, with no blankets, no pillow and something I would consider a yoga mat and for yoga only as a mattress so my bed can dry.
Seriously - I thought there would be a threshold to these types of trickeries in one's life... but I am a full believer that I am this lifetime's biggest joke.
There are honestly moments when I wish this was it and tomorrow, I will wake up a butterfly.... or anything but me.

An Enlightenment
How can children grow up to be respectable human beings if thei parents do not take the responsibility in ensuring their upbringing teaches them what respect is.
When everything in a child's life becomes an option or request there no longer exists standards and requirements.
This starts the slippery slope that they have the right to do as they please regardless of the consequences. I live with two kids who are starting to exhibit traits of two people who are going to be a menace to society instead of a positive contribution. It's sad when one of the parents who should act as a role model is nothing but a free loader with no goals or plans in life except to be a leach. We definitely need less of those in this already chaotic world.

Really?!?!
Last time I checked I lived in Canada.
Last time I checked, we have 4 seasons (supposedly).
At the least we know it snows here and we know it can get hot (although this summer was trying to prove a point)
So why then has there been a FROST WARNING in RED for the last 2 days in Toronto.
When did it become a "severe weather conditions" that we need to be warned of frost?
Now - if this isn't the media making every mediocrity too dramatic, I don't know what is...
C'mon people - it's just really cold water.
Relax already.

Our Country is F***ed Up!
I read an article about spanking children and was already disturbed by how many people go left-field with the concept... Beating children isn't a good thing - obviously - but a mild spanking - to each his own...
THEN I read THIS: |Former Terrorist Wants to Be Lawyer|
I'm sorry - WTF?! And people are vouching for him?! This man wanted to crash a plane - use it as a bomb and we should give him a chance to convict his own kind (I don't mean skin colour, but terrorists). I can almost imagine every trial he presides over.... I don't care if he thinks he's rehabilitated. A cop who does something illegal like... drugs... gets his badge stripped. Even referees in professional sports get stripped of their title if caught gambling in sports. These two things suffice to say aren't as severe as being an active terrorist.
Wait - another question, why is he in this country AND why was he allowed to study at York? There are so many young people here, NOT offenders of any sort, save the stolen candy bar at age 8 who actually have a future ahead of them. Why are we reserving the space in an educational institution for a criminal - C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L????
Oh right - it's North America standards... Just like the US, if you're the general population you can't get treated if you're sick, you have to be a convicted felon to get the best health care in the world.
I say, hand over all that is good and righteous; all that keeps the wars and terrors at bay over to exactly people like this - and on a a silver platter. Be sure to include the best wine on the menu.
