Stupid Driver Finally Caught

So the junction at the Sheppard exit of the 401/404 area has a really wide right shoulder...
Today I was in the car with a friend and we were severely cut off by a guy driving a dark blue Mazda 3 from the left.  My friend honked at him though there was no response from this man.  Not even a gesture to apologize.  He then cut into the right lane which was ending and turning into the shoulder and pulled through to exit Sheppard.

HOWEVER...

He ran straight into 2 cop cars patrolling for people doing exactly as he was doing and was pulled over and given a ticket.  I wasn't allowed to roll down the window and scream SUCKER SERVES YOU RIGHT but that's exactly how I felt.

So to the man in the blue Mazda cutting people off on the highway - HA HA HA YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!!!!

Really?!?!

Last time I checked I lived in Canada.
Last time I checked, we have 4 seasons (supposedly).
At the least we know it snows here and we know it can get hot (although this summer was trying to prove a point)
So why then has there been a FROST WARNING in RED for the last 2 days in Toronto.
When did it become a "severe weather conditions" that we need to be warned of frost?
Now - if this isn't the media making every mediocrity too dramatic, I don't know what is...
C'mon people - it's just really cold water.
Relax already.

Boys in the Photograph

Simply said - not impressed.
Perhaps I already had a long day prior, but did not enjoy it very much.
Performers were very talented.
Base story a real issue, but the story LINE... well that was bad.
I might have made the mistake of reading the reviews before going, but I agree with them.
Lacked character connection.
Lacked the depth of the issue.
Sets were mediocre at best.
I give it 2/5 stars as well.

The Lost Symbol

About 1/4 way through - there are 133 chapters... I'm on 42 or something like that??
Interesting so far - but hasn't caught my attention like the Da Vinci code did - perhaps I already realize that I'll be chasing a labyrinth of codes before finding out what I already expect at the end.  Either way, quite entertaining... Just not enough time in a day.

I think my next read will definitely be a biography of someone... interesting.  Like Einstein or Leonardo Da Vinci.

Our Country is F***ed Up!

I read an article about spanking children and was already disturbed by how many people go left-field with the concept... Beating children isn't a good thing - obviously - but a mild spanking - to each his own...

THEN I read THIS:
|Former Terrorist Wants to Be Lawyer|

I'm sorry - WTF?! And people are vouching for him?!  This man wanted to crash a plane - use it as a bomb and we should give him a chance to convict his own kind (I don't mean skin colour, but terrorists).  I can almost imagine every trial he presides over.... I don't care if he thinks he's rehabilitated.  A cop who does something illegal like... drugs... gets his badge stripped.  Even referees in professional sports get stripped of their title if caught gambling in sports.  These two things suffice to say aren't as severe as being an active terrorist.

Wait - another question, why is he in this country AND why was he allowed to study at York?  There are so many young people here, NOT offenders of any sort, save the stolen candy bar at age 8 who actually have a future ahead of them.  Why are we reserving the space in an educational institution for a criminal - C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L????

Oh right - it's North America standards... Just like the US, if you're the general population you can't get treated if you're sick, you have to be a convicted felon to get the best health care in the world.

I say, hand over all that is good and righteous; all that keeps the wars and terrors at bay over to exactly people like this - and on a a silver platter.  Be sure to include the best wine on the menu.

For F***'s sakes!

Protein Shakes

Anybody who knows me knows I'm a VERY picky eater and very sensitive to tastes.
So for me to find a protein shake is just like the needle in the haystack challenge with one more glitch - I cannot consume WHEY... which usually is in 99% of protein powders :S

So... I went on a search - into the world of vegetables and non-whey...

Tried Isomax's Soy - but turns out there's Whey - not good, but was tasty

Then tried Greens+ OMG gross... Why does everything Greens make taste like sh*t???

Then finally tried the Vega Protein - when I opened it and took a sniff I almost cried - surprisingly however, it is the BEST protein I've come across - even better then some of the whey complex ones that actually tastes decent.

Thank you Mr. Triathelon!

It's More than Sleep

I've decided since I spent a fortune on Manduka, it is being credited for my most amazing sleep last night.  Or more correctly, doing my 45 minute yoga on Manduka.

I fell into a dead sleep in which I did not wake up until my alarm went off.  When the alarm sounded, I thought it was noon.

For the first time in about 5 years, I have slept through the night and without dreams.

Thank you Manduka!

What a Mat!

MANDUKA

I found an eco friendly yoga mat...
... that supports my back because of it's cushioning....
... has a lifetime guarantee...
... is made in an emission free way...
... cost me 3x what a normal mat at lululemon would cost...

but still...

P90X's yoga X is still super intense...

but wow... what a difference it makes!

Why Are There Dumb Drivers

So... yesterday, on my way home from work, my light turned green, so naturally I went ahead to accelerate to meet speed limit (70 km/h) at which point some woman at the intersection wanting to turn right (into on coming traffic) makes a last minute decision to do so in a 4 cyclinder car - then needs to get ALL the way to the left lane (4 lanes across) to make the left at the light about 200 meters away.  I had already reached about 70 kim/h she had trouble cutting me off and was very tight in making her left turn.  I looked over to find her swearing at me and giving me the finger.

Is there something wrong with this picture?  This woman cuts ME off, doesn't have the sense to know not to try and cut traffic like that in rush hour and then proceeds to cuss at me.

Stupid woman.  All I could do was shoot her a big smile - I think that pissed her off even more.

Fanged Frog????

Animals I love - weird ones never seen before, even better!  Welcome to the dormant volanic world of Papua New Guinea....

NASSSTY, but intriguing

Giant rat?

Fruit Dove

Teeny Parrot

Hairy Caterpillar (ew)

I'm not convinced it's fanged, but I have a new favorite frog

Terror in My House

The terror in my house is back.
They returned at about 2am in the morning and made insane amounts of noise.
Why can people be more considerate.
The house was so peaceful and CLEAN for a week and a half.
Now... Who knows.
There should a law against raising children up in a pig sty.  I'm going to look into it!

BLOG MERGED

As the title indicates....
The blogs have been merged.

One Last Time

What do you do when the one thing you treasure most feels like it's slipping away like water through your fingers?
You want to hold on, but the forces are against you?

How do you stop the pulsing pain each time you take a breath?

And when I'm Sorry can't unbreak the heart?

Paternal Betrayl

I have a father, sad to say, who thinks that by never being there in my childhood and then abandoning my brother and I to start another family is his definition of being a good father.
He shamelessly believes that his good for nothing home wrecker companion is in the right to threaten his own daughter with matters that are family ties. She is nothing but a foreigner - intrusive - in the most polite terms and she feels that she is noble enough to speak up about my relationship with my father because it is negatively affecting her mood.
I have a warning for any fathers out there that feel that neglect and lack of attention for your children will be rewarded by respect from them when they grow up. You are wrong. If you never gave them a reason to respect you and look up to you, they will not.
And a warning to those selfish, me-first attitude people out there who think you can take whatever you want and not suffer the consequences. Breaking up another's family is not something to be prideful of - you have done nothing but destroyed your own damned integrity.
My anger spews out towards all those conceited individuals out there that take no responsibility for their own actions and feel that they deserve a pat on their back for doing nothing to better this world.
SHAME ON YOU!

Today - that is my rant.
Tomorrow - I will tell you what I learnt about the Automotive Industry

Hello Teacher, Tell Me What's My Lesson

I've realized that when your world is crumbling there are always two kinds of people in your closest vicinity: The ones that try and help hold the walls up and the ones that push the walls down to crash on you harder. The ones that try and help hold you and pull you out of the rubble, does not point a finger at you as to why your world is crumbling and why you are so weak beneath the rubbles. The other, well if they are piling the bricks on top of you, I think that it is obvious what they are and are not doing.

Is it fair to judge the homeless man begging for his next dollar when you have no idea his circumstances and why he is where he is? Would it help him to be criticized if all he needs to survive is one more meal? The world has enough cynicism, hypocrisy and hate and definitely not enough of empathy, understanding and love.

Looking on a smaller scale, often times in each of our lives, the people you cherish most are the first to point, stare and laugh. It is an irony because these same people willingly reach out their hand to strangers. Is it really only because you love them that you dare to hurt them? Has society twisted our minds so badly that we believe that those dearest to us deserve the least respect, least empathy, least understanding and worst yet should be taken for granted most often?

We are where we are in life because of our circumstances and because of our choices. Often in retrospect we realize we've made mistakes, but it is never wise to project our errors on others and make them the scapegoat for our own imperfections.

A man once said: you are free to judge me if you yourself are without fault. Until you remove the speck from your eye, do not be so arrogant to believe you can help others in removing theirs.
~Take THAT with a grain of salt

Hollywood Moment

The music slowed
The crowd stood still
And for a moment the stars aligned into perfection
Two hearts skipped a beat
An instant connection was made

It doesn't just happen in Hollywood girls!

Last Night's Demon Chasing Me

Open wide, demon face
Down the rabbit hole esophagus
Into a fiery burning hell
That Echos
Magnetic pulls, delusions
Very convincing to follow
Not today, not tomorrow
Cannot drown my sorrows
Cannot steal my soul

Artistically Speaking

I started a project of very great artistic proportion.
However, my computer is in surgery and I can't track it's progress.
And...
I lost a paint brush in my room which cost me $57.49 to purchase...
In looking for it, I found:
  • a sock
  • a cordless phone
  • my favorite pencil (lost about a year ago)
  • numerous hair ties
  • a puzzle
  • The book "choke" - always wondered where that went
  • an expired yogurt (fortunately unopened)

More of an Effort

The newest dilemma is this:
Should I put more of an effort into being nicer to stupid people
or
Should I put more of an effort into ignoring and not condoning their behaviors?

I ask this only because Einstein pointed out to me that supidness is limitless... which would mean my efforts would have to be limitless for those who wish to be perpetually... well... stupid.
But then that would mean I lack drive to excel if I don't try - or maybe that's just a stupid thought.
HA.
Irony capitalized.
This is what happens on a Friday afternoon when I'm thinking about indulging my semi-alcoholic behaviors.
OK. That's an exaggeration... not the indulging part though.
